Just set up the ChirpSounds system today, and it is working beautifully. The dogs and cat are trying to figure out how so many birds could be hiding in the house.

I wanted to hear bird sounds as if I am outside. I found this system searching for an easy to use and set up system. I was not interested in recording sounds but simply transmitting them while I sat at the kitchen table birdwatching. The acorn is easy to hang up and we put it in our screened porch to protect it from rain and heat. I was worried if it would transmit well because there was a wall between it and where we sat in the kitchen. There was no problem with the wall being in the way. The time between charges has been long enough as not to be a nuisance. The best part is being able to hear the birds so clearly and accurately. My husband can bird by ear so he identifies birds without even seeing them. He calls the ChirpSounds system “Binoculars for the ears” as you are able to detect sounds you wouldn’t normally be able to. We are happy with our purchase and find it enhances our joy of birdwatching!

This is a great product - excellent sound quality and it is a great replacement for an old bird monitor that I'd had for years. Bought this on the recommendation of my sister who also bought one. It's great to have this to let me know who's at my feeder when the windows are closed. Bought the speaker to go with it. Had no issues with getting them paired. Instructions were good but you do have to read them carefully.

I had a bird “monitor” years ago and loved hearing the birds during windows closed seasons. The Chirpsounds transmitter is much better than my old one. Having the ability to muffle wind noise makes a huge difference. Being able to charge the components rather than using alkaline batteries is also a big plus. I haven’t had it long enough to know how long it will go between charges but so far has been longer than I expected. A highly recommended product.
Hi Julie, Thanks for the kind words! A few of our beta testers had older units and had a similar experience. Regarding battery life, if you run it 8 hours a day, you'll get through a week before needing to charge it overnight. If youonly run it 4 hours a day, 2 weeks. I dont like having it run out on me, so I have gotten into the habit of plugging it in every Sunday night, and then putting it right back outside Monday morning.
