Most speakers have a range of about 35' with no obstructions and a good bit of luck. Not so with this speaker! Manufactured by top-notch Cambridge Soundworks with a powerful wireless radio and outstanding antenna design, this small, splash-proof speaker will connect with your TX1 transmitter up to 100 feet away (with good line of sight)!
Weighing in at just over half a pound, it cranks out 10W of power, is splash-proof, and plays all day on its internal rechargeable battery. It's the perfect size to sit on your windowsill. A microUSB cable (included) charges the unit in conjunction with a USB wall charger (also available from ChirpSounds) similar to the one you use to charge your smartphone. You can also leave it plugged in for extended playing, or even pair it with your smartphone and take it with you for music on the go!

It is really nice to be able to hear the bird activity even when the doors and windows are closed. I am also enjoying the night-time insect songs. Sounds like camping, feels like home! I hung the acorn too close to perch and birds damaged the membrane. Replacement parts have been sent, service was great. Be aware though, make sure you hang the acorn away from other perch spots.
It sounds like you're living the ChirpSounds dream! I'm glad we were able to get the parts out to you and that you now know where you should - or shouldn't - hang the unit to keep it away from your curious feathered friends!
